Each battery comes with a black vinyl cap to protect the XT-30 discharge adapter during transport and from the elements. We also use the vinyl cap to indicate a fully charged battery at the field.

I had my first fly away with one of these batteries on it. It was still pretty new and barely used. Someone found the fly away with the battery still plugged in a few days later, so obviously the battery is toast. Surprisingly, I was able to carefully resurrect it with no deformation of the case! These batteries are using pretty good cells!
