The Lumenier LUX V2 flight controller is the next generation of the popular Lumenier LUX. It uses a powerful F3 processor along with top of the line hardware. Unleash the capabilities of your FPV Racing Quadcopter with the Lumenier LUX Flight Controller. Achieve gyro refresh rates up to 8kHz (high speed SPI) using popular Betaflight, CleanFlight and RaceFlight firmware along with ultra low looptimes. The LUX comes with BetaFlight pre-installed.

The LUX V2 builds on all the best features of the V1 board and further improves on hardware components and layout. Now you get a whopping 5x dedicated UART ports for periphials, along with an SD Card slot for practically unlimited data logging. The MPU has also been updated to the low noise MPU6000 Gyro making tuning even easier. No longer do you need to solder jumper pads for PPM/SBUS selection, it is automatically chosen via software! The powerful F3 MCU also supports the latest DSHOT protocol available in the newest BetaFlight firmware.

The Lumenier LUX is a very low profile board allowing it to be mounted in a variety of ways. The board also comes with a set of pin headers you can optionally solder on. Alternatively, signal wires can be soldered directly to the pads to save on size and weight. The LUX supports PPM or Serial RX (including Futaba, FrSky, S.BUS, DSMX). A signal inverter is already included for S.BUS. Please note: PWM input for individual channels is not supported.

The Lumenier mini BLHeli ESCs are top performing electronic speed controllers with fast mosfet driven, dedicated driver chips on a quality PCB. This gives superior braking and freewheeling performance. The motor braking exceptionally fast thanks to the Silabs processor along with high quality gate drivers. Jointly developed with SimonK himself, this is Lumenier's rendition of the popular 30amp "F-30" ESC with SimonK firmware - The Lumenier Mini 30 amp ESC with customized SimonK firmware including OneShot auto-detect is the perfect ESC to use on mini FPV quads such as the QAV250. This ESC is small in size (51x25x10mm) and big on power, supporting 30A on 4s. The ESC comes pre-loaded with the newest firmware, which is compatible with new features like "OneShot" (it will auto-detect if OneShot is enabled), Comp PWM (similar to KISS braking feature), compatible with all Lumenier motors up to 4 cell.

Simon had this to say about the new Lumenier SimonK ESCs:

"These ESCs are a revision of the nearly-perfect F-30A ESCs with high-quality board layout and components."

These ESCs are some of the most-recommended ESCs for multirotor use (with modified software) due to their reliability and capability for such a reasonable price. However, the original software intended for use in planes and helicopters requires a low-pass stage in the motor timing sense circuitry. This filter helps the stock firmware deal with PWM noise when sensing the timing, but lags the signal and is detrimental in some cases. With SimonK multirotor-specific firmware preloaded, and this analog filtering removed, the required noise filtering is done in software. The result is that timing synchronization loss from motor saturation during extreme instantaneous acceleration becomes avoidable, and start-up of higher-inductance motors is much smoother.

With the firmware preloaded, there is no need to play around with ESC settings to disable low-voltage shutdown or to change the timing to improve compatibility with pancake-style motors. Motors of all shapes and sizes should work providing they do not overload the ESC. In the event that a future motor does cause problems, the firmware allows for updates via a USB linker or by normal ISP methods, and is compatible with the normal bs_nfet.hex target.
