Lumenier Demonstrates Tactical FPV Flight at Maneuver Warfighter Conference 2025
October 28, 2025

FORT BENNING, GA — September 9–11, 2025 — Lumenier, a U.S.-based designer and manufacturer of unmanned aerial systems, delivered live FPV flight demonstrations at the U.S. Army’s annual Maneuver Warfighter Conference & Expo. The event, hosted by the Maneuver Center of Excellence, drew more than 27,000 attendees, including senior military leaders, program offices, and technology innovators shaping the future of Army capabilities.
The Maneuver Warfighter Conference is one of the Army’s most influential forums for advancing doctrine, training, and modernization priorities. Its 2025 theme — “integration at speed and scale” — placed heavy emphasis on robotics, autonomy, soldier-tech pairing, and the rapid fielding of emerging unmanned systems.
A Moment of Real-World Readiness
Lumenier was invited to contribute live tactical FPV demonstrations as part of the conference’s outdoor evaluation schedule. With flight authorizations secured and systems prepared, the team executed seamless live flights in front of Army stakeholders — reinforcing confidence in Lumenier’s readiness to support operational needs.
“To be asked to step in under those conditions and fly what we build, live, for Army stakeholders — that speaks to readiness,” said Chad Daring, Vice President of Business Development at Lumenier.
“It wasn’t a planned spotlight, but we treated it like one. Reliability matters — and we were honored to show that in action.”
The impromptu demo positioned Lumenier front and center for the remainder of the conference. The team quickly established an outdoor presence where drones could be flown repeatedly in full view of Army units, acquisition leaders, and program evaluators — a unique opportunity rarely available at defense events.
Measured Capability in Operational Context
Lumenier’s demonstrations at Fort Benning were intentionally focused on practical application, with flight profiles tailored to reflect real-world deployment scenarios. The emphasis was on showcasing systems that are field-ready, maintainable, and intuitive to operate—aligned with the needs of end users operating in dynamic environments.
The team highlighted:
-
Stable flight performance in outdoor, real-world conditions
 -
Minimal setup time and low support overhead
 -
Ease of maintenance and part replacement in field settings
 -
Consistent video transmission and operator control
 -
Transparent discussion around system repairability and modularity

By flying in real-world conditions, the team aimed to convey confidence in the platform’s reliability and suitability for mission-aligned use.
Strengthening Relationships and Industry Relevance
Beyond the flying itself, the event was a valuable touchpoint for strengthening Lumenier’s position in the tactical UAS ecosystem. The team connected with existing customers, engaged Army experimentation units about training initiatives, and fielded purchase inquiries that will shape future development.
“Being present is critical,” Daring added.
“Trade shows come and go, but demonstrating capability to the right people — the ones who will shape the future of unmanned systems — Lumenier is focused on responding to the DOW's directive in unleashing drone dominance.”
Fit Within Army Modernization
The Army’s modernization strategy is moving rapidly toward human-machine teaming, distributed ISR (intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance), and soldier-operated unmanned systems. Live field demonstrations like those at Maneuver Warfighter influence how requirements are refined, which platforms get prioritized for evaluation, and how training pipelines are built.
Lumenier’s ability to execute under pressure and show readiness in front of decision-makers underscores its transition from a hobbyist heritage to a serious tactical solutions provider — while maintaining a balanced, transparent stance as it looks to fulfill the U.S. Army’s FPV requirements at echelon.
Looking Ahead
Lumenier will continue refining and hardening its FPV platforms with direct feedback from field operators and experimentation units. Ongoing focus includes:
-
Developing deployable, field-serviceable drone architectures
 -
Supporting soldier-led evaluation and training environments
 -
Building trusted relationships across the defense innovation ecosystem

“We don’t chase headlines — we demonstrate capability, and let that speak,” said Daring.
“These moments show that what we’re building has real traction with real warfighters.”
